It was a completely normal evening in India.
Sky had just come back from his walk. Happy. Tail up. Completely covered in everything the street had to offer.
He ran straight to the child on the floor.
And in that moment — watching those paws touch the same floor where the child plays, watching that nose press against the child's face — something shifted.
We had always washed his paws with water. Like every dog owner in India. Like every dog owner assumes is enough.
But was it enough?
We started asking questions nobody around us seemed to be asking. What is actually on those streets? What does water actually do to bacteria? What about the nose — the part that touches the street directly and then touches everything inside?
The answers were uncomfortable.
Water moves dirt. It does not kill germs. The bacteria stays. It just spreads to wherever the paws go next. The floor. The sofa. The child's hands.
We looked for a proper solution. Something made for Indian dog owners. Something that understood Indian streets. Something that actually killed germs instead of just moving them around.
We could not find one.
So we built one.
We spent months working on a formula that kills germs and bacteria without using harsh chemicals. Without alcohol. Without bleach. Something gentle enough for daily use on a dog's paws, nose and face. Something Sky would actually approve.
Sky was involved from day one. Every formula was tested on his paws. Every wipe was used on his nose and face. If he showed any sign of discomfort — back to the drawing board.
He never did.
He approved the final formula on his first test. Sniffed it. Accepted it. Went back to his nap.
That was the moment SOTAILS was born.
